There will be meeting on Tuesday, October 8 at 6:00 PM of the Housing, Business and Areas committees of the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council to discuss
- the Mayor’s Executive Directive 1, which seeks to extend and make permanent the provision of “regulatory guidance to new 100% affordable housing proposals. The revisions being considered add additional protections to residential tenants, ensures high fire risk area safeguards and looks at the design, landscaping and open spaces of new ‘affordable’ housing. The full text of ED1 can be found HERE. Possible motion and vote on a Community Impact Statement to be sent to City officials.
- the proposed Citywide Housing Incentive Program (CHIP) Ordinance. CHIP is made up of three incentive programs, State Density Bonus, Mixed Income, and the Affordable Housing. More detailed information may be found HERE. At issue is the continuation of single-family neighborhoods’ ability to fulfill State affordability mandates.

The meeting will be followed by a PLUM meeting, which will have the same agenda. HHWNC bylaws and standing rules state that stakeholders can be voting committee members for Area and Issue committees. They cannot be for PLUM.
