Dan Halden will present “HEART of Hollywood,” a long-term strategic and creative initiative to promote economic growth, world-class design, and a strong sense of place and community in the historic core of Hollywood
IV. Short term rental discussion
a. Council File 18-1245: Sean Starkey from CD 13 will discuss Council File 18-1245, which requests that the Council instruct the Planning Department, with the assistance of the City Attorney, to develop recommendations for a Pilot Program in Council District 13 that would regulate home sharing in primary residences subject to the Rent Stabilization Ordinance. On June 18, the Council requested a report back. Possible motion and vote.
b. Home-Sharing Ordinance CF 14-1635-S2 (HSO):, In December 2018, the City Council adopted the Home-Sharing Ordinance (CF 14-1635-S2), establishing a regulatory framework to restrict short-term rentals to one’s primary residence, in order to prevent the wholesale conversation of homes into rental properties. Ethan Weaver, Hollywood Neighborhood Prosecutor will present the rollout and enforcement of the HSO.
V. 1850 N. Cherokee CUP request
Representative will present 1850 N Cherokee’s CUP request (ENV-2019-1323-CE; AZ-2019-1392-CUB) to allow sale and dispensing of beer & wine for on site consumption, with 24 guestrooms each having mini-bars, 15 interior seats and 40 exterior seats in a1,014uncovered patio, with24 hours. Possible motion and vote.
VI. Committee Business – Comments from the Committee on subject matters within the Committee’s jurisdiction
a. Comment on Committee Member’s own activities/ Brief announcements.
b. Brief response to statements made or questions posed by persons exercising their general public comment rights.
c. Introduce new issues for consideration by the Board at its next meeting/request that the item be placed on the next meeting’s agenda.
d. Ask Committee Chairpersons to research issues and report back to the Committee at a future time.

The quorum for the Hollywood Hills West Neighborhood Council committees is five (5). Comments from the public on other matters not appearing on the Agenda that is within the Committee’s subject matter jurisdiction will be heard during the Public Comment period. Public comment is limited to 2 minutes per speaker unless waived by the presiding officer of the Committee(s).
