The Area 2 Chair is now open.
The HHWNC’s Area 2 boundaries travel West from Lankershim Blvd. and Cahuenga Blvd. to Mulholland Drive, and the residences within 90068 postal zip code between Cahuenga Blvd. and Mulholland Drive. Area 2 also encompasses the Universal MTA Station, the commercial office buildings and hotels in Universal City, City Walk, Cahuenga Blvd. The Area 2 committee focuses on all issues affecting this area. Significant issues currently being discussed are Runyon Canyon, short-term rentals, party-houses, tour buses and nearby developments that have potential to affect our area.
To be eligible for the chair, a candidate must be a Stakeholder of Cahuenga Pass/Universal City. HHWNC By-laws state that a “Stakeholders shall be defined as everyone who lives, works or owns real property in the neighborhood and also to those who declare a stake in the neighborhood as a community interest stakeholder, defined as a person who affirms a substantial and ongoing participation within the neighborhood council’s boundaries and who may be in a community organization such as, but not limited to, educational, non-profit and/or religious organizations.
As a member of a government body listed in the Los Angeles Charter, the successful candidate is required to complete training in Funding, training in Ethics, training in Diversity, and must also read and sign a Code of Conduct.
