Celebrate the Magic: The Hollywood Christmas Parade Marks Its 92nd Anniversary!

2024 marks The 92nd Anniversary of the Hollywood Christmas Parade, an American tradition. The live parade is produced by Associated Television International and presented in association with The City of Los Angeles on the streets of Hollywood, CA. This year’s celebration will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Since 1928 the live Hollywood Christmas Parade has been a loved and cherished annual holiday tradition enjoyed by Angelenos, as well as by millions watching the televised airings of the parade nationally on The CW Network on December 14^th, 2024 and internationally on Armed Forces Network around the world. The only exceptions were during World War II from 1942 to 1944 when the parade wasn’t presented, and in 2020, due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The parade was then presented live again in 2021, 2022 and 2023, and excitedly returns this year to celebrate its 92nd Anniversary live in the streets of Hollywood, CA!

WHERE:

From the Heart of Hollywood! Starting on Hollywood Blvd. at Orange Drive the U-shaped parade route will travel east to Vine, south on Vine St to Sunset Blvd. and west on Sunset Blvd. back to Orange Drive.

PARKING INFO:

Parking is always a premium in Hollywood. One of the best places to park is the Hollywood/Highland shopping complex. There are other public lots. There is a charge to park at these locations so please contact these individual lots for parking fees and come early to avoid the traffic and possible street and ramp closures. Also be aware of postings on streets that will be designated “NO PARKING” for the parade!

TRANSPORTATION:

One of the easiest ways to get to the parade via Metro Red Line to Hollywood/Vine or Hollywood/Highland. Both stations get you directly onto the parade route.

ROAD CLOSURES:

Happy Holidays to our neighbors in Hollywood! Once again – on this upcoming Thanksgiving weekend – the Hollywood Christmas Parade is being filmed in our neighborhood. This time-honored Hollywood tradition features iconic and beloved stars from the entertainment world, and we hope you will come check it out! Details of the various street closures are provided in the event link. Beginning Thursday, November 28th, “No Parking” signs will be posted along these routes; enforcement will begin Saturday, November 30th and continue through Monday morning, December 2nd, 2024.
