Area 7 is the area south of Hollywood Blvd. to the West Hollywood border and west of La Brea to the West Hollywood border. We are trying to share information with and get input from all of our stakeholders regarding issues on which we are working: traffic, prostitution, the homeless, opening a Community Police Center, streetscape beautification, creation of a BID on Sunset Blvd, and creation of a vest pocket park for small children on the site of the Durant Branch library when the new library opens.

Your Committee Chair:

  Cherl Holland

Cheryl Holland. I was born in Montreal, Quebec. I attended University of New Hampshire as an undergraduate and then went on to law school at University of Miami. I practiced law in Miami for three years before moving to Los Angeles. I practiced in Los Angeles for twelve plus years, as a business litigator, with a sub-specialty in environmental law. I eventually became a law lecturer, traveling around the U.S. to various law schools. During that time, I also wrote a book on the art of business and legal writing. I have lived in Los Angeles for almost nineteen years, most of that time in Hollywood. My husband, Neal Avron, is a record producer, and I have two children, two and twelve years of age. I stopped practicing law about five years ago. Currently, I am a freelance writer for various small newspapers.
